‘The Five’ Gets Major News About Show and Its Top Hosts

Fox News continues to dominate the cable news ratings as several shows have smashed records this year.
On Wednesday evening, the hit show “The Five” reached a familiar milestone by exceeding 4 million total viewers. Fox News’ 5 p.m. ET panel discussion was also the top-rated program in the advertiser-coveted Adults 25-54 demographic, Ad Week reported.
On MSNBC, the 5 p.m. hour of “Deadline: White House” with Nicole Wallace received 9,000 more viewers than “The Last Word” with Lawrence O’Donnell. The 5 p.m. hour of “The Lead with Jake Tapper” was also CNN’s most-watched show overall.

“The Five” ratings come as the show lost one of its popular, longtime hosts.
Former Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro has a new job, and a familiar face may be replacing her on the top-rated cable news channel.
A White House source said that Alina Habba, the former attorney for President Donald Trump who is serving as U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, is being eyed to replace Pirro as a host on “The Five,” The Daily Mail reported.
The report said that Habba is considering taking the job and avoiding the confirmation process to become the US Attorney for New Jersey full-time.

“Discussions about a permanent replacement have not even started, so her name can’t be part of the mix,” A Fox News source said to The Daily Mail.
“Rotating Fox News personalities will fill the seat on The Five until a permanent co-host is named,” a Fox News spokesperson said.
Because of her legal background and tough personality, the White House source said that Habba may be the only person who could step into Pirro’s spot.
“There aren’t many people who can fill a Jeanine personality void. Alina’s the one,” the source said.

“Jeanine Pirro has been a wonderful addition to The Five over the last three years and a longtime beloved host across FOX News Media who contributed greatly to our success throughout her 14-year tenure. We wish her all the best in her new role in Washington,” a spokesperson for the news organization said.
