McEnany Shreds ‘Outnumbered’ Co-Host Harf For Denying Biden’s Decline
Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany went head-to-head with former Obama official Marie Harf on the Fox News show “Outnumbered” Friday, calling her out over claims that Joe Biden is still “mentally capable” of doing the job of president.
Several new books are shedding light on Joe Biden’s health and mental decline during his time in office. One of them — “Original Sin” by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’ Alex Thompson — claims the former president didn’t even recognize George Clooney, a longtime supporter and Academy Award winner.

Harf admitted she doesn’t think Biden should have run for reelection, but still pushed back on reports questioning his mental fitness.
“What’s interesting is the quote you just read generally refers to physical health. We all saw Biden’s physical health deteriorating in front of us,” the former Obama official said, before McEnany, a former White House press secretary, interrupted her and said, “And mental.”
“Well, that is a separate question. I haven’t seen evidence presented by a doctor or someone else that says Joe Biden was not mentally able to do the job,” Harf said before McEnany hit back with, “Did you watch the debate?”
“I did, but that’s a different issue, Kayleigh. That’s not a mental issue,” Harf said. “If we were to start putting presidential doctors under subpoena – first of all, there is patient-physician confidentiality that is a legal and ethical standard that patients and doctors have protecting them. Do you want to put Donald Trump’s doctor under subpoena?”

“So you believe Donald Trump is in bad health?” McEnany said.
“I don’t know what his health is like, but when I watch him on TV and he forgets names of people, mixes things up, repeatedly saying things that when Joe Biden said them, Republicans were like ‘he is mentally impaired.’ Donald Trump says mentally impaired things every day and no one reacts,” Harf responded.
“You are the last Democrat on planet Earth dying on this hill of Biden was perfectly mentally capable and Trump is not, and the polling reflects that your own party didn’t want him to run,” McEnany said.

And McEnany is correct.
Several other top Obama officials have already spoken out about just how bad things were with Biden.
Former Obama advisor Van Jones delivered a stinging assault this month, accusing people surrounding Biden of concealing his significant health deterioration from the American public.
On CNN’s State of the Union, Jones expressed disbelief at Biden’s health and labeled the suspected cover-up by his senior aides as a “crime against this republic.”
“I was shocked,” Jones said. “I love Joe Biden. I got a chance to work with him when I was part of the Obama administration. I loved him more every day. I was shocked to see his condition when he came out, and so was the world.”

Jones cited assertions in the book that individuals in Biden’s entourage were aware of his deterioration but stayed silent.
“That wasn’t the first time he was in that condition,” Jones said. “The book makes it very, very clear there are people who knew and said nothing. And that is a crime against this republic. I think the Democrats are going to pay for a long time for being a part of what is now being revealed to be a massive cover-up.”
Former Obama aide and Pod Save America co-host Jon Lovett admitted on Jon Stewart’s “The Weekly Show” podcast that he deliberately hid his concerns about Biden’s physical decline during the 2024 campaign.
Lovett was concerned that his criticisms might be used against Biden.

He stayed silent to avoid “having the words we’re saying taken out of context and all of a sudden be part of the case against Joe Biden from the right — that would use any person criticizing Joe Biden from the left as a weapon against him.”
